They say that an A-line skirt is universally flattering and a pencil cut is for those with glass hour figure because it visually balances a person. But my safest bet is a good three way mirror in the fitting room and an honest friend who tells you when you look horrendous. And please avoid those big pleated skirts. They are universally unflattering.

A Skirt for a Change
Believe it or not, a skirt makes a woman. Actually more than the belt does. Because a man wears belt but hopefully not a skirt. No, I’m not asking you to go all girly and emotional about it. In fact, my style has always been feminine with a manly twist. My purses are tough leather but with feminine details and colours. My manly collar shirts are tapered with deep front opening. I wear skinny denims or a perfect boot cut. But let’s come to grips with the reality that skirts do separate us from men. And showing a bit of those legs that are hidden for a long time already under those trousers would not hurt either.
