Your Style, My Style

But we can’t get away from our own style. At least I can’t, no matter how I try. I will remain in that denim jeans, black top look. Because no matter how I try, this style just expresses who I am, the outfit that defines me. But I won’t wear those denims that won’t fit me anymore or my faded black shirts. And I can update this simple outfit with different cut of black tops, colourful shoes, colourful bags or with colourful stone dangling earrings. I can update by not diverting from my style.

But it takes time to learn. It’s not some kind of magic. But not rocket science either. All we have to do is to use and remember what we’ve learned. Like I can’t wear closed neck tops and I should remember that I can only go open neck every time I buy tops. Or that button down shirt is very tricky for me so I have to be careful in choosing them. Also with plaids or printed tops. It takes time to think and to resist the temptation to buy what we love with our eyes but will not really look good on us. And again, remember age appropriateness. 

But after some time, you will get some of it. Like pencil skirt is the only skirt for me. Belts, especially wide belts, work well for me. For work travels, I would need light tops that are iron free or easy to iron. So lifestyle is very important to consider too.
