A Better Way to Cover Your Tummy

My friend told me once that my eyes are bigger than my tummy. Well, figuratively speaking, he has a point after I mistakenly ordered a big breakfast. But literally, it's impossibly true, both in all ways and manner. But saying this doesn’t mean that we have to have our big square bag across our bodies every time we poise for a picture. I know that being seated in pictures are always tricky. But hugging a throw pillow doesn’t really give any justice to it.
So when sitting is the only option, sit up straight. Most of the time, the problem is not really the tummy but an ill fitting trousers or skirt. Or even a very tight belt. So if your clothing are well fitted, one problem has already been solved. Freely crossing your arms in front of your body helps. But not the tight I-am-angry look. Make it look natural, like something out of the I-didn’t-even-noticed-that-I-did-that kind of way.
Scarves are a good way to cover up too. But not as a blanket but as a scarf draping your neck. You can also cross your legs and have the picture taken from a frog perspective which means taken from down to up. You being the up. You can also put some things on the table in front of you. A flower vase or something.
But then why bother. Just show your tummy, large or small. Or then cut the picture halfway. :)
